Addressing challenges in managing kidney diseases
for today and the future
Midland View Hotel in Dodoma
22nd – 24th November 2023
REGISTRATION 2023 IS OPEN
Background
The Nephrology Society of Tanzania (NESOT) aims to promote and advance the knowledge and practice of nephrology. This will also be achieved through promotion of experimental and clinical research in Tanzania. Such locally relevant data will help provide guidelines for optimal care of renal patients.
Furthermore we aim to participate and take lead in framing of laws affecting the science and practice of Nephrology in Tanzania.
Since NESOT was founded in August 2012 it has engaged in internal and external advocacy missions. Through these initiatives a platform for expansion of nephrology services is beginning to evolve. Strategic partners including the ministry of health, national health insurance fund and health industry have demonstrated support to our vision.
Other collaborators include the International Society of Nephrology (ISN). ISN will continue offering fellowships to Tanzanians wishing to train in more experienced centers in Africa, Europe, Asia and America.
